Description
English: The crew manning the rail of the USS Halsey (DDG 97) stands at parade rest as the Navy's newest Arleigh Burke-class destroyer is commissioned at Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, Calif., on July 30, 2005. The destroyer is named for U.S. Naval Academy graduate Fleet Adm. William F. "Bull" Halsey Jr. who commanded South Pacific Force and South Pacific Area during World War II.
