Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Eaton's Main Store, at Yonge Street and Queen Street West, being demolished to make way for the Toronto Eaton Centre which would include a new, one-million-square-foot Eaton's department store. This photo looks east along Albert Street, which formerly connected with Yonge Street and was dead-ended to accommodate the Toronto Eaton Centre. The first phase of the Toronto Eaton Centre, extending from Dundas Street West to Albert Street, is visible in white, as well as the National Headquarters for the Salvation Army (demolished in 1998). Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
