Description
English: Description de l'Égypte, ou Recueil des observations et des recherches qui ont été faites en Égypte pendant l'expédition de l'armée française, by the French Commission on Sciences and Arts from Egypt (Description of Egypt, or Collection of observations and research that were made in Egypt during the expedition of the French army). Charles-Joseph Panckoucke's edition. Published by the French government, 1820. Frontispiece to the second edition. Please note that this so called "expedition" was a military invasion.
Français : Description de l'Égypte, ou Recueil des observations et des recherches qui ont été faites en Égypte pendant l'expédition de l'armée française, par la Commission des sciences et arts d'Egypte. Edition de Charles-Joseph Panckoucke. Publié par le gouvernement français, 1820. Frontispièce de la seconde édition. Il convient de noter que cette soi-disant "expédition" était une invasion militaire.
