Deutsch: Gesine Schmidt, Auszug aus: Von Lissa nach New York und Shanghai. Das Schicksal der jüdischen Familien Metz und Sachs aus Lissa/Leszno in der Provinz Posen.(März 2017 noch unveröffentlicht)
Ergänzend teilt die Autorin mit: Die Familie Metz ist mit mir über meine Großtante Anna Riedel verwandt, die den jüdischen Kaufmann Erich Metz geheiratet hat. Er war der Sohn von Abraham Metz, der aus einer jüdischen Kürschnermeister-Dynastie aus Lissa stammte. Abraham Metz heiratete die Tochter des jüdischen Kürschnermeisters und Pelzhändlers Julius Sachs und wurde Teilhaber und später Chef der Firma: „I. Sachs: Felle, Pelze, Rauchwaren. Lissa i. Posen“. Diese Firma siedelte, als Lissa 1920 polnisch wurde, nach Breslau über. Sie bestand bis zur Pensionierung von Abraham Metz in den 30er Jahren.
