Summary[edit]

Description This file demonstrate the sound of the diesis, a musical comma. It first plays an octave (2:1), then, starting from the same pitch, it plays a major third in just intonation (5:4), then another, then another (ie, C, E, G#, B#). Then it plays the 2:1 octave followed by the 125:64 (B#), followed by both at once. The difference, 128:125 is the diesis comma. Scala was used to create a MIDI version, which was then rendered into an actual audio file with ZynAddSubFX and encoded into Ogg Vorbis by Keenan Pepper.
