Description |
English: A cast copper alloy Roman dolphin of Hull’s corpus type 94.B. The tubular wings conceal a hinged pin mechanism, the iron axis bar is visible. The pin has not survived. The high arched bow has two triangular grooves cut out of the top and has two vertical rows of dots running down the bow. At the bottom of the bow is a small rounded foot knob. The triangular catchplate is also missing. The length of the brooch is 32.4mm, the width is 19.0mm and the weight is 6.43g. |
