[edit]DescriptionDom slepih kralja Aleksandra Karađorđevića.jpg |
English: The Home for the Blind was an institution that initially received war invalids, but later all the blind were admitted, regardless of religion, gender and nationality. This home was under the patronage of King Alexander Karadjordjevic. The home aimed at educating the blind through schools and workshops. There were many different craft workshops where the blind could learn a certain craft and thus be able to work. All this enabled the blind to become maximally independent, able to work and in that way provide for themselves. |
