Description SAVANNAH, Ga. – Employees and the public learned how to prepare for a hurricane or other emergency during the 2nd Annual Family Emergency Preparedness Expo hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District, June 4, 2014. The Corps partnered with local agencies and businesses including: the Chatham County Emergency Management Agency (CEMA), the CEMA Community Emergency Response Team, the American Red Cross, the Humane Society of Greater Savannah, Lowes, Home Depot, The Savannah Morning News, the Savannah Federal Credit Union, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Floodplain Management Office, Armstrong Atlantic State University, and the Savannah fire department. The expo coincided with the start of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, which runs from June 1 through Nov. 30. USACE photo by George Jumara.
