Kompkikötő: Dömösi átkelés. Dömösi átkelés megállóhely. Egykori hajóvontató út haladt a parton. 1777-től a hajókat a Dunán fölfelé az egész dunai partszakaszon elítéltek vontatták. Ez volt az egyik legsúlyosabb közmunka a kiszabható büntetések között. A felvilágosult II. József a halálbüntetést helyettesítette vele. A lovakkal, bivalyokkal vontatott dunai dereglyékkel, jóval a gőzhajók megjelenése (az 1800-as évek eleje) után is találkozunk. A dömösi Duna-parton a hajóvontatók útja 1848-ban még meglehetett Info: sulinet.hu/oroksegtar/data/telepulesek_ertekei/100_falu/Domos/ II. világháború alatt a Duna túlpartján lévő Dömösi átkelés nevű vasútállomást felrobbantották a német csapatok (nem épült újjá sohasem). - Komárom-Esztergom megye, Dömös
