Title
Double looped buckle pm
Description
English: An incomplete Post-Medieval copper-alloy double loop buckle frame, dating to AD 1600 - 1700. The pin and central bar are missing. The buckle is broadly oval; with broadly straight upper and lower edges and convex curved ends. Where the strap bar would meet the frame, there are two moulded diagonal lines, forming a chevron. The outer edges are decorated with incised horizontal moulded lines, ten on each side. The long edges of the frame are flanked by slightly concave curved sections of the upper and lower sides. Beyond this, on the outer ends of each side, is an outward projecting rounded knop. The ends are thickened in the centre coming to a point on the inner side.
