Description
English: A U.S. Navy Douglas SBD-3 Dauntless (marked "GC" for "[Air] Group Commander", officially "Commander Enterprise Air Group (CEAG)") taking off from the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CV-6), in May 1942.
During the Battle of Midway on 4 June 1942, this plane was flown by LCdr. Wade McClusky, gunner W.G. Chochalousek, ARM1c, and participated in the attack on the Japanese aircraft carrier Kaga.
