  • Inscribed: Recto: Inscribed in pen and brown ink, upper right: Grand Canyon/ July 12th/ 1908/ Arizona (later addition) T. M. More at left. After rain, the colors are intensified/ the Rocks become, in the lower strata white against the darkened plateaux - color/ the effect on the eye of the red strata is as if all were glazed with Rose Madder/ the shadows are an intense plum purple or Blue.
