English: Woman's day dress with matching belt- (1) The dress in cornflower blue wool crepe featuring wing-style collar; long sleeves with slit opening to sleeve-edge fastened with metal hook and sewn eye fastening; the upper cf with slit to waist behind which is a modesty panel of same fabric secured to underside of upper with two dome fasteners, the 'slit' secured at the top with two blue plastic buttons joined with a cotton cord acting as a 'cloak clasp'; the skirt featuring a single inverted pleat to cf; straight darts for fitting radiating above and below waist seam of f and b; main decorative feature of garment comprises inserted panels of identical fabric featuring evenly spaced horizontal 'stripes' each comprised of three rows of machine-rendered drawn thread work sewn with a grey thread; unlined; most seams left unfinished; predominantly machine-sewn; metal zipper fastening to proper lhs seam (.2) Matching belt of same fabric in form of a flat unlined strap terminating in horseshoe-shaped buckle to one end and three blue eyelets on the other; the buckle backed with heavy cream paper
