Description
English: A complete Post-Medieval rectangular copper-alloy hooked tag of Read Early Post-Medieval Class E, Type 1.

It is a flattened D-shape in section. The front face is decorated with a central longitudinal raised panel. On either side of the plate are three regularly spaced knops. On the back face of the plate is an integral D-shaped loop. At the bottom of the plate is an integrally cast hook. This is D-shaped in section, tapers to a point and bent backwards.

This dress hook measures 22.26mm in length, 11.22mm in width, 2.85mm in thickness, 2.32g in weight.

There are similar examples published by Read (Read, 2008, p. 88, no.s 294-296).
