English: Portrait of Princess Eleonora of Savoy (1728-1781), daughter of Carlo Emanuele III of Sardinia
Italiano: "Il dipinto rappresenta il ritratto a mezza figura di Eleonora Maria Teresa, figlia di Carlo Emanuele III. Dall'inventario degli oggetti d'arte di dotazione della Corona conservati a Palazzo, stilato nel 1881, risulta che il dipinto si trovava nel Regio Guardamobili al piano terreno di Palazzo Vecchio, dove è registrato privo di cornice mentre dal 1911 è documentato nella sala della colazione, ormai dotato di "cornice antica in legno intagliata e dorata". Una nota aggiunta a margine nell'inventario del 1966 riferisce il ritratto, in precedenza sempre assegnato ad ignoto pittore, a Duprà. Il confronto con altri tre ritratti della stessa principessa conservati nella sala da pranzo (locale n. 35) e con opere certe di Domenico Duprà, come il ritratto di Maria Antonia Ferdinanda di Borbone Spagna, firmato e datato 1751, anch'esso a Palazzo Reale, sembra confermare anche per il nostro dipinto l'attribuzione a questo artista, come già proponeva nel 1963 Vittorio Viale in occasione della mostra sul Barocco Piemontese (Viale V., Torino 1963, v. II, p. 115)" [1]
