Title
ED8EA1a.JPG
Description
English: Roman Copper alloy hair pin, 28mm in length and 5mm at widest point. The pin has a sub-circular terminal, 3mm high, which has three semi circles, arranged horizontally, cut into its surface giving the impression of a bud with three petals. Below this is a ridge running around the pin. Underneath this the pin tapers in for 2mm and then out for 2mm, terminating in another ridge. From this point the pin tapers gently down to its end, which appears to be broken. It has a single incised line 6mm below the previous ridge.
