ESS-842E52 medieval buckle
Description
English: Incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy lyre-shaped buckle (14th to 15th century). The surviving fragment is 'M' shaped, with a circular hole through the central section, which is possibly bird shaped. THe two outer edges are slightly curved and they have moulded decoration in the form of depressed circles along its length. The reverse is plain and undecorated. It is 26.21mm long, 31.01mm wide, 2.36mm thick and weighs 6.03 grams.
