Early-medieval spindle whorl
Description
English: A broadly conical, cast lead spindle whorl, more ovoid in shape than round, with a circular, off centre aperture. The object measures 29.6mm x 26.5mm, thickness 10.1mm and the aperture 10.2mm. The object has a D-shaped cross-section.

Walton-Rogers dates spindle whorls with a D-shaped cross-section to the early medieval period AD c. 500 - c.1000.
