Title
Early Neolithic: Leaf-Shaped Arrowhead.
Description
English: A complete flint arrowhead of probable Early Neolithic date (3500 BC - 2900 BC). Length 26.2mm, width 15.4mm and 2.9mm thick. Weight 0.89g. The grey coloured arrowhead appears to have been made on a thin flake. In plan, it is ogival-shaped with a rounded base. The lower part of each face has radiating ripples although the ripples are barely visible. Each edge has sub-parallel re-touch which cover the whole of each face close to the sharp point. Just below the point the implement is sub-lozenge shaped in cross section. The rounded base has fine retouch on one face only. The implement is in perfect condition.
