Early medieval strap end
Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy late early-medieval (c. AD 875-1100) strap end of Thomas Class E, Type 1, 'Winchester' style. The strap end is tongue shaped but is broken and preserves two holes with another hole at the point of breakage. At the flat undecorated attachement end a rivet and a rivet hole are preserved. No decoration is preserved on either sides.

The length of the strap end is 28.97mm (including the attachment end which is indistinguisable), the maximum width is 21.59mm (at the attachment end), it is 2.51mm thick and weighs 6.6g.
