Description
English: Early Post Medieval Mount from sword belt (15 x 32mm), cast in the form of a very stylised bird, comprising upper terminal in the form of the head of a double-headed ?eagle, pierced by a copper alloy rivet with circular lobe on reverse, hollow-backed rectangular body with raised angled rectangular panels on both sides decorated with engraved cross-hatching and lower terminal in form of splayed tail feathers, pierced by remains of copper alloy rivet. 16th century.
