Identifié et daté en bas à gauche: M. LA PRINCESSE DE CONTY / DOUAIRIERE / 1692.

Cadre rocaille en bois doré d'époque XIXe, portant un cartouche à l'inscription erronée " La Duchesse de Bourgogne ".
Notes

"Intéressant pour sa technique, relativement rare, la peinture à l'huile sur cuivre, notre oeuvre qui se révèle être tel un pendant au portrait du Grand Dauphin, que nous présentons au lot précédent, témoigne non seulement de la grande complicité qui a uni nos deux modèles tout au long de leur existence mais aussi, de ce que furent au XVIIIe siècle les collections des ducs d'Orléans aujourd'hui disparues.

Ce portrait et le précédent [2] ont peut-être fait partie d'une plus grande commande pouvant représenter tous les enfants du roi Louis XIV." [3]
