Nederlands: Bestuursvoorzitters verdienen gemiddeld genomen fors meer in bedrijven waar de commissarrissen onverklaarbaar hoge vergoedingen ontvangen. Wanneer dit het geval is, blijkt dat bovendien samen te gaan met ongunstige bedrijfsresultaten. Dit suggereert dat de Raad van Commissarissen en de bestuursvoorzitter inderdaad soms samenspannen, ten koste van het bedrijf. Dit stelt Eddy Cardinaels, hoogleraar Management Accounting Tilburg University, na een onderzoek op basis van Nederlandse gegevens. Cardinaels stelt dat het tijd is dat de Code Tabaksblat expliciet regels stelt aan de hoogte van commissarisvergoedingen. |
