De Fransman toont hem echter smalend zijn lege beurs. Links een Pruisische soldaat en een Engelse matroos. In het onderschrift de teksten van de vier hoofdpersonen. Onderdeel van een groep van vier spotprenten op de patriotten ten tijde van de Pruisische inval in oktober 1787. Herhaling van de originele versie maar nu met Engelse én Duitse opschriften. Zie ook de pendant en het bijbehorende paar spotprenten. Vervaardiging Vervaardiger: prentmaker: Johann Heinrich Ramberg Plaats vervaardiging: Engeland Datering: 1787 - 1788 Fysieke kenmerken: ets Materiaal: papier Techniek: etsen Afmetingen: plaatrand: h 392 mm × b 485 mm Toelichting Muller beschrijft deze prenten als een serie van vier omdat ze rechtsboeven genummerd zijn I-IV.
