Description
English: "Eighth Avenue Elementary School was constructed in 1889 and opened in 1890. The Columbus Dispatch reported that it cost $36,000 to construct the 12 room building and an additional $11,812.50 was spent on purchasing the site. At the time the school opened Indianola Avenue was named Wesley Avenue. An annex was constructed in 1906. The school closed in 1952 and has been demolished." 1435 Indianola Avenue; 1435 Wesley Avenue
