Elephant Path |
Description |
500px provided description: Riding an elephant has been an item on my bucket list for some time. I was able to knock it off my list while visiting Amber Fort in Jaipur. The set-up was a clever tourist trap but it was one of the better ways to get to the fort entrance. You could walk but then you?d have to navigate around the elephant traffic or take a car up a tight road. The elephants seemed like a much more fun option. I thought I?d be cackling my way up the trail but I realized quickly that riding on top of an animal about the size of a small tank actually isn?t very leisurely. Snapping pictures while getting swayed back and forth almost caused me to fall off the seat we were on but thankfully I had my buddy to grab onto. Whew!
