This vessel was lost on the English Channel on March 27, 1916, while about 14 km south of Kentish Knock while on a voyage from Newcastle to Rouen, France, with coal. Eighteen sailors took to the lifeboat while the rest of the crew jumped into the water. They were picked by those in the lifeboat and were saved.
