Deutsch: Modell der von Eudoxos erdachten zwei Sphären (hier Ringe) zur Darstellung der Bewegung der Sonne relativ zur Erde: Die erste Sphäre dreht sich um die verlängerte Erdachse. Auf der zweiten Sphäre, die drehbar auf der ersten gelagert ist, ist die Sonne fixiert. Die erste Sphäre dreht sich täglich einmal um die Erde und nimmt die Sonne mit. Die zweite Sphäre dreht sich einmal im Jahr um die erste. Da die Achsen der beiden Sphären untereinander einen Winkel von 23,5° (Schiefe der Ekliptik) bilden, macht die Sonne im Jahr eine Auf- und Abbewegung, entstehen Sommer und Winter. |
