"Egel Assenstraat 119 Het snijraam is van Jannes Limperg. De spreuk is afkomstig van Cicero. Hij was een Romeins redenaar, politicus, advocaat en filosoof. Zijn leven viel samen met de val van de Romeinse Republiek en de gebeurtenissen die daaraan vooraf gingen. Cicero's schrijven schenkt een belangrijk historisch inzicht in deze periode. De spreuk Magnum vectigal parsimonia betekent "Spaarzaamheid is een belangrijke bron van inkomsten."
