F04E51. Post Medieval double oval looped buckle
Description
English: Copper alloy double loop oval buckle. The pin is attached to the centre bar and made from a D-sectioned fine strip of copper alloy which tapers to a point. The frame is undecorated with a convex front and flat back. There is a pin notch on the inside edge of both loops. The frame is rectangular sectioned and narrowed from the frame. Similar to an example in Whitehead, R, 1996, "Buckles 1250 -1800", p54, no. 305.
