Deutsch: Schwanheim am Main, Herzogtum Nassau: Im Jahr 1908 hatte der Arzt, Autor und Zoologe (Malokologie) Wilhelm Kobelt (1840–1916) im Schwanheimer Wald eine der ersten Wald-Erholungsstätten Deutschlands initiiert. Im Bild die Einrichtung, Reproduktion eines Fotos aus dem Jahr 1910.
1921 wurde zu seinen und seiner Ehefrau Amalie Ehren vor Ort im Frankfurter Stadtwald die Gedenkstätte Kobeltruhe (auch Kobelt-Ruhe) eingerichtet – ein Rastplatz und Ausflugsziel mit Gedenkstein und Holzbänken. Das abgebildete Foto, Werk eines unbekannten Fotografen, ist dort ausgestellt auf einer Informationstafel des Historischen Wanderwegs Schwanheim zur Geschichte des Ortes |
