| Description |
Deutsch: Kath. Pfarrkirche Mariae Himmelfahrt, Schwaz; die vierschiffige Hallenkirche mit Nordturm steht im dicht verbauten Stadtzentrum. Sie wurde von 1460 bis 1478 zunächst dreischiffig erbaut und bereits ab 1490 vergrößert, unter anderem um die zweigeschoßige südliche Sakristei. Bemerkenswert ist der fünfstöckige gotische Dachstuhl unter dem Dach aus 15000 Kupferplatten. Die beiden sechsjochigen Hauptschiffe weisen Rautensterngewölbe auf, die beiden Chöre Rautennetzgewölbe. Der neugotische Hochaltar im linken Chor entstand 1913.
