Description Fatime Hysen Nurçe was 13 years old when she began the ordeal of internment during the communist dictatorship. She was the third child of Hysen and Fetie, in the village of Arrëz in the Devoll district. Nuredini, Ziniu, Refiku, Nefareti, and Mesareti were Fatime's sisters and brothers. One of Fatime's brothers, Nuredini, decided to escape in the fall of 1948. After his escape, the Nurçe family was persecuted by the communist regime. Their long journey of suffering would pass through the most infamous camps of the dictatorship, starting from Valias to Kodër-Kamëz, then to Tepelena, and later to Lushnje. In Fatime's memory, many traces of the pain of that time remain. Separating from her parents is one of the dramas that marked Fatime's life.
