Fes Palace Park

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Fes Palace Park. One of the large interior gardens in the Dar al-Makhzen, located directly northwest of the Lalla Mina Mosque and northeast of the Lalla Mina Gardens (still visible in satellite imagery today). The courtyard, along with a palace pavilion at its northwestern end (not seen here), might be the creation of Sultan Moulay Abdelaziz (1894-1908), according to Henri Bressolette ("Fès-Jdid de sa fondation en 1276 au milieu du XXe siècle", Hespéris-Tamuda 1983).
