English: Plan of the Palais-Royale and its environs (parchment, 380 x 775 cm, Archives Nationales, S. 1824). North is to the right.
Français : Titre : "Figure et description des treize arpens de terre en la censive des chantres chanoines et chapittre de l'église collégiale de Saint-Honoré..." Description : « Le rempart de Charles V, la rue Saint-Honoré et la grande rue des Petits Champs, délimitent le triangle de la censive dépendant de la collégiale Saint-Honoré située près de la rue des Bons-Enfants. En 1640, le Mercier a construit les deux ailes sur la cour d'Honneur de l'hôtel de Richelieu, remonté les façades sur la première cour et l'on distingue très bien le mur arcade qui sépare l'hôtel du jardin Le dessin de celui-ci pose quelques problèmes, il ne correspond pas aux descriptions qui en ont été faites. Le nombre de parterres parait en particulier très important. L'allée d'arbres au contraire se reconnait sur tous les trâces. Une palissade semble constituer une deuxième ligne de séparation entre la cour et le jardin. »
