English: Photograph of illustration. Caption on image: 1890. Fremont Post Office. Mrs. I.C. Ralston, P.M. On verso of image: Mrs. I.B. Ralston, Post Mistress, Fremont 1890 (First Fremont Post Office). Mrs. Lura Douglas, 8719 19th Ave. N.W., Daughter of Mrs. Ralston. Mr. Ralston was the first Postmaster and was killed in an accident at the railroad log roll at the edge of Lake Union. Mrs. Ralston took over officially although she has been doing the work previously. Woman to right is Bertha Eastov Clater, Mrs. Millins.
