English: Firvaldur is a wooden Faroese rowboat from Tvøroyri in Suðuroy, Faroe Islands. The boat is a so-called 5-mannafar. This photo is taken in Tórshavn at the Ólavsøka festival, which is the national holiday of the Faroe Islands. It is tradition to have rowing competitions at the Eve of Ólavsøka, which is on 28 July. This photo was taken on 28 July 2010. These girls are on their way to the start point of the rowing competition.
