Description

German WW2 era Self-propelled Anti-aircraft gun Official designation: - 3.7 cm Flak auf Fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen IV (sf) (Sd.Kfz.161/3) The FlakPanzer IV combined the 3.7cm Flak 43 anti-aircraft gun with the chassis of a Panzer IV medium tank. 240 were built between March 1944 and March 1945, by which time they had been superseded in service by the much more capable ‘Wirbelwind’ and ‘Ostwind’. This is one of only two known survivors and is seen on display in the ‘Germany 1934-1945’ hall. Musée des Blindés, Saumur, Pays de la Loire, France
