Summary[edit]

Description

Wetland at the headwaters of the North Branch Rock Run, Lycoming County, within the Devil’s Elbow Natural Area of Loyalsock State Forest.

A quaking bog, with pitcher plants growing on an unstable mat of sphagnum moss, is found at the northern end of the wetland. The southern end, shown here, is largely made up of ferns.
