ARABIAN SEA (April 2, 2012) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Tanner Kent signals an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Golden Falcons of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 12 to take off from the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) during a cross deck evolution with the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). New Orleans and embarked Marines assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are deployed as part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
