Description

YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 11, 2012) Capt. David A. Lausman, commanding officer of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), right, and Capt. G.J. Fenton, the prospective commanding officer, speak to local and international journalists during a press conference on the ship’s flight deck before a change of command ceremony. During the ceremony Fenton relieved Lausman as George Washington’s commanding officer. George Washington is pier side in Yokosuka, Japan making preparations to return to sea.
