Description

GULF OF ADEN (Aug. 31, 2012) Sailors aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) tie down an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 to the ship's flight deck. New York is part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group and is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
