CHICAGO (Aug. 14, 2012) The U.S. Marine Corps Band, New Orleans Brass Band, serenades visitors at Chicago's Navy Pier during the Navy’s Commemoration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812. The commemoration coincides with Chicago Navy Week, one of 15 signature events planned across America in 2012. Service members from the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Royal Canadian navy will participate in the weeklong event, which culminates with performances by the U.S. Navy's flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels, at the 2012 Chicago Air and Water Show.
