Description

PANAMA CANAL (April 15, 2012) Chief Logistics Specialist Jeffrey Clemente, from Patterson, N.Y., monitors the distance between the wall of the Pedro Miguel Lock and the hull of the littoral combat ship USS Independence (LCS 2) from a porthole during the ship’s first Panama Canal transit. Independence is underway for the ship's maiden voyage to San Diego.
