Bright green fluorescence of glassy residue on flask walls observed under UV light

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Crude product of 2-(2′-hydroxyphenyl)-1,3-benzothiazole synthesis after extraction of reaction mixture and evaporation of solvent using rotary evaporator. The product formed uniformly distributed glassy solid on the round-bottom flask walls. Due to strong fluorescence of the product under UV light (365 nm) it appears as if just light is held in hand.
