Description
English: Part of a cast copper alloy object made up of a C shaped beaded loop with an original radius of 15mm and 4.1mm diameter section. One end of the loop is missing but through the other is a 1.5mm diameter transverse hole. Cast integrally with this is a loop, now crushed, but with an original diameter of c. 7.5mm and a width of 6.9mm. Around this runs a decorative band fill with raised motifs including rings of five pellets surrounding a central pellet. This object might be interpreted as the fitting for a large fob seal. Length 26.8mm, Radius (original) 15.0mm, Thickness 4.1mm, Mass 4.09g
