Description
English: Command Sgt. Maj. John Kurak (left), the senior enlisted leader of 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, briefs Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel Dailey, 3rd BCT, 4th Inf. Div.; Command Sgt. Maj. Dennis Carey, U.S. Army Forces Command; and Command Sgt. Maj. John Gioia, Multi-National Division – Baghdad and the 4th Inf. Div.; on the capabilities of the Iraqi national police in his operational environment. Carey met with the brigade's senior enlisted leaders during a visit with the brigade, Dec. 15, at Forward Operating Base War Eagle, which is located in the Sadr City District of Baghdad. Following the brief, Cares offered a bit of advice that may sound simple was enough to give the gathered leaders pause for a moment: "When you go back, you need to realize that the Army has changed, HRC has changed, and Fort Carson and Fort Hood have changed," he said, adding that, of course, the Soldiers themselves have changed as well. Following his briefing, he met with a large gathering of the brigade's Soldiers at the Rosenberg Cafe.
