A first path leads to the door of a rectangular, one-story wood building, backed by stockade wall.

Fort Vancouver. The carpenter shop was originally built in 1844-45. This reconstruction was built in 1997. It is a one-story building with a gable roof covered in boards. Exterior walls are constructed of chinked, horizontal infill timbers between vertical posts.
