Description
Español: Fuente de las Américas, en la avenida Ingeniero José María Garnica, Málaga, España. Se inauguró el 12 de octubre de 1973 con motivo de la celebración en Málaga de la Conferencia de Plenipotenciarios de la Unión Internacional de Telecomunicaciones. Fue proyectada por el arquitecto municipal José Luis Esteve como un conjunto formado por un gran estanque a dos niveles del que emergían tres enormes mástiles que simbolizaban las tres carabelas del Descubrimiento. Aunque la fuente lució los mástiles durante varios años, finalmente se optó por demolerlos y actualmente consta solo de dos albercas a distinta altura con varios surtidores que crean una pequeña cascada.[1]
