Fragment of Roman roof tile (tegula)
Description
English: Fragment of a ceramic roof-tile (tegula) of Roman date (AD 43 – AD 410). Length 99mm, width 69mm and 18mm thick. Weight 218.42g.

The fragment is part of the side of the tegula and part of the raised flange is intact. The flange is 21mm in width and its total height is 39mm. The red tile has a grey inner core and all the breaks around the edges are old.
